What anonymous participation means

Your public activity appears under the unrelated username you choose. Account email addresses are used privately for authentication, recovery, security, and abuse prevention—not as public profile information.

No online service can guarantee perfect anonymity. Members must avoid real names, work emails, badge or case numbers, exact class dates, patient information, active-operation details, or combinations of facts that could identify someone.

What moderators can see

Moderators can review submitted content, public usernames, reports, verification requests, support requests, and the records needed to enforce community rules. Private request forms are not published.

Authentication information is handled through Supabase. Authorized account or infrastructure administrators may access limited authentication records when necessary for security, legal compliance, recovery, or abuse investigations.

How moderation works

Reviews and certain structured contributions may enter a private queue before publication. Moderators evaluate privacy risks, relevance, harassment, threats, impersonation, spam, and prohibited operational or patient information.

Moderation decisions are recorded in an audit trail. Account restrictions can be appealed, and rejected salary or hiring-process reports can include private feedback and a correction path.

Professional verification

Applicants, Police Cadets, and Fire Cadets may choose an appropriate public role. Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS, Dispatch, and Corrections verification requires private moderator vetting.

A verification badge signals that a role was reviewed; it does not prove that every statement is accurate, represent an employer endorsement, or authorize someone to speak for an organization. Public forms must not contain credential images, government IDs, or badge numbers.

Why community statistics have thresholds

Individual salary and hiring-process submissions remain private. Public statistics appear only after at least three reports are approved for an organization.

This minimum reduces the risk that one person’s compensation or application experience can be singled out. Small role-filtered review groups also do not receive separate rating averages until at least three matching reviews exist.

Organization information and corrections

Salary ranges, benefits, hiring requirements, deadlines, specialties, and application links may come from public organization websites and other cited official sources. Information can become outdated and should always be confirmed with the organization.

Members can privately suggest updates or report inaccurate information from an organization page. Moderators review the submitted source and correction before changing public directory information.

Safety and anti-retaliation

Cadet Collective prohibits doxxing, threats, harassment, retaliation, impersonation, and attempts to expose a member’s identity. Content reporting and member blocking tools are available throughout the community.

Cadet Collective is not an emergency or misconduct-reporting authority. Contact 911 for emergencies and the appropriate agency, regulator, attorney, union representative, or oversight body for official matters.

Limits and accountability

Community reviews and discussions are personal perspectives, not verified statements of fact or professional advice. Ratings and reports should be considered alongside official sources and direct contact with the organization.

We explain our rules, document material moderation actions, provide private support, and update our policies as the service changes.
